Colors

Text Colors

There are seven default text colors in Bootstrap:

text-default text-muted text-muted text-success text-info text-warning text-danger

Background Colors

Six of these colors can also be used for background colors for things like messages (these are called contextual backgrounds):

bg-default
bg-primary
bg-info
bg-success
bg-warning
bg-danger

Button Colors

These same six colors can also be used for button colors:

List Item Colors

Some of these colors can also be used for background colors for list items.

Note: Just by applying one color class to the list item, it changes both the background color and the text

  • list-group-item-success
  • list-group-item-info
  • list-group-item-warning
  • list-group-item-danger
  • list-group-item active (note the space, not a hyphen)
  • list-group-item disabled (note the space, not a hyphen)

Panel Colors

These colors can also be used for borders around panels.

Note: Only the border color is changed. The text remains black.

panel panel-default
panel panel-primary
panel panel-success
panel panel-info
panel panel-warning
panel panel-danger

Panel Background Colors

And of course you can also use these colors for panel-body backgrounds

Note: Only the background color is changed. The text remains black.

panel-body bg-default
panel-body bg-primary
panel-body bg-success
panel-body bg-info
panel-body bg-warning
panel-body bg-danger

Panel Background and Text Colors

And you can also apply both text and background colors for panel-body elements:

panel-body bg-default text-default
panel-body bg-primary text-primary
panel-body bg-success text-success
panel-body bg-info text-info
panel-body bg-warning text-warning
panel-body bg-danger text-danger
